Jesus spoke the words “Peace, be still!” to His followers who were, at the moment, panicked fishermen who forgot Jesus could completely control their frightful circumstances.

Jesus calmed the storm

In Mark 4:35-41, we read that one evening Jesus said to His disciples “Let us cross over to the other side” of the lake. So, they left the crowd in a few boats and “a great windstorm arose, and the waves beat into the boat, so that it was already filling. But [Jesus] was in the stern, asleep on a pillow. And they awoke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?” (Mark 4:37-38).

Now, the disciples had no reason to be afraid. They were going to a place where Jesus wanted to go. And since God-in-the-flesh was right there with them in the boat, there was nothing that would keep them from getting there. Yet they panicked.

As couples, God has designed a successful home for you – but the enemy comes to steal your joy away, constantly reminding you of the wrong instead of leveraging the strength.

Resist him and move on with your life together as God designed for you. Don’t give up on your goals together, fight for what you want and don’t listen to the voice of discouragement. Speak the truth in God’s word to him and silence the voice instantly.

When we read the account of Jesus’ saying “Peace, be still” today, we need to remember that Jesus is always in control of our circumstances, and, when we trust Him, He will calm the raging inside our souls.

When we find ourselves raging and tossing and turning on the inside, Philippians 4:6–7 tells us what to do: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” While it is great to see the storm around us calm down, it is even more important that our souls are calm in the midst of the storm.

Resist failure and embrace Success – The Peace of mind

There comes a time in everyone’s life, when the storm hits you from all directions. You face discouragement and failures in every endeavors – remember that this is a test of your faith in God, always give thanks to God for everything you pass through.

When you fail, pick up the pieces and dust yourself up – no one knows your thoughts until you open up, so don’t project failure, praise God for the blessings coming.

You are believing God for a miracle job – due to the pandemic or for any other reason, you currently have few or no source of steady income, God’s word is saying to you now – it is finished – worry no more. You cannot go through this till eternity, there is an appointed time for your lifting, and that time is now – when the storm hits you – refuse to be hurt or discouraged.

Right now Jesus is saying to that storm; Peace be still! Believe it in your heart and live in the light that the master is for you and nothing can harm you.

God has not promised to bring peace to every storm, but He has promised to give us peace through any storm if we will trust Him to take care of us.
